Faith Formation
R.C.I.A.: For parishioners who have not received the sacraments or for those interested in becoming Catholic, introductory sessions are offered Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the parish center (300 HIllview Street).  It is a process of growth and development in the faith which usually is a year or two process depending on the person.

Religious Education for children: grades 1 & 2 meet on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in Madre de Dios Church
                                                               grades 3 through 6 meet on Wednesdays 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Center
                                                               grades 7 through 12 meet on Mondays 6 - 7:30 in the Parish Center

  1. CCD for Children in grades 1-2
    Please sign up in the parish office on 300 W. Hillview Street
  2. Catholic Daughters of America
    Meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in Madre de Dios church hall. Call Emma Montano at 587-2002 for more information.
  3. Altar Servers
    All those children who have received First Holy Communion are invited to take part. Meetings are held on Saturdays at Madre De Dios Church at 10 a.m.
  4. Junior Catholic Daughters
    Meet the first Sunday of the month at 1 p.m. in classroom at Madre de Dios Church. Call Patsy Bailon, 386-8887 for more information.
  5. Knights of Columbus
    Meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in St. Joseph parish hall. Call Larry Reyes, 587-5210 for more information.
  6. St. Vincent de Paul
    Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
  7. Pastoral Council
    The pastoral council is under the authority of the pastor and investigates, considers, and proposes practical conclusions about those things which pertain to pastoral works in the parish. It consists of members of the Christian faithful who are designated in a manner determined by the diocesan bishop. They meet once a month in the parish conference room.
  8. Finance Council
    In every parish a Finance council is established, which the pastor presides and which consists of at least three members of the Christian faithful truly expert in Financial affairs and civil law, outstanding in integrity, and appointed by the pastor. The Finance council prepares each year, according to the directions of the diocesan bishop, a budget of the income and expenditures which are foreseen for the entire governance of the parish in the coming year and at the end of the year examines an account of the revenues and expenses.
